About Everyday Insight Post
Last updated: October 21, 2026
What this publication is
Everyday Insight Post is a small online magazine about the ordinary hours of a day: breakfast at the counter, a packed lunch, a walk when the dishes are done. Each piece begins with a scene, then checks it against what U.S. federal agencies actually publish.
Three departments
At the Table covers breakfast and packed lunches. Out and About is about movement and time outdoors. Workday Notes looks at the hours around work, including the Sunday prep that sets up the week. Pieces stand on their own, so a reader can begin anywhere.
How a piece gets made
- A scene is chosen, something ordinary that most readers will recognize.
- The relevant pages from the CDC, FDA, NIH institutes, NIOSH, HHS and MedlinePlus are read in full.
- Every source link is opened again before publication to confirm it loads and supports the sentence that cites it.
- The piece is written in plain language and read through by an editor.
Software in the process
Text-generation tools may help with outlines and first drafts. They are never listed as a source, and a human editor stands behind everything that is published. Mistakes are logged on the Corrections page.

Advertising
Advertising pays for the site. It is labeled, it sits apart from the writing, and advertisers do not see drafts or ask for changes. See the Advertising Disclosure.
